Carry More with This Ultimate New World Bag Guide

Bags, bags, bags! Because those resources aren't going to carry themselves. In this article I will discuss how to get bags, how to craft the best bags, what Runes of Holding are and how to obtain them.
In any game, storage is gold. It’s rare, can be expensive to get more and it’s difficult to come by. Just take Skyrim for example. If you are over encumbered you can’t run nor can you fast travel. New World is no exception. Every New World Gold and item you obtain will weigh a certain number of units and take up space in your characters inventory.

Having the ability to be able to store more resources is invaluable so running out of storage is a big problem. When it happens, it means you will have to travel back and forth to your settlement to get rid of unwanted items in your storage which not only wastes time, but stops you from putting attention elsewhere. So how can you fix this issue? Bags, bags, bags!

Beyond leveling your Strength attribute, bags are the only way you can increase your character's carry weight in New World, so it is extremely important you equip the strongest bags possible.

You can equip up to three bags in New World. Each bag slot is unlocked at the following levels:
1.Bag Slot #1: Unlocked at level 5
2.Bag Slot #2: Unlocked at level 30
3.Bag Slot #3: Unlocked at level 45

Like everything else in New World, bags come in various tiers that determine how effective they are at storing gear. Higher-tier bags can carry far more storage but are tougher to craft as they require greater resources.
Currently, there are four different bags you can craft in New World. The Worn Traveler's Satchel and Gator Leather Satchel are both obtained from the following quests:
*"Inspecting the Goods"
*"Ebonscale Alligators"

At level 10 and after completing a quest, you will be awarded with your first bag. But, it’s only one bag. To get more, you’ll need to buy them from a Trading Post or craft them, but you’ll also need to join a faction because every bag crafting recipe requires a Rune of Holding, and those are only available through your faction’s store.

Runes of Holding

Runes of Holding are sold by your faction vendor. Each Rune of Holding costs the following:
• Rank 1: Minor Rune of Holding – 1,000 Tokens, 250 Gold
• Rank 2: Major Rune of Holding – 3,000 Tokens, 500 Gold
• Rank 3: Greater Rune of Holding – 5,000 Tokens, 1,000 Gold
• Rank 4: Grand Rune of Holding – 7,000 Tokens, 1,500 Gold

The best perks to have

3 of the best (depends on what you do in the game) perks you can have on a bag are the following.
*Extra Pockets (Sliver of Adderstone) – You can hold 50–95 more weight.
*Luck (Chunk of Adderstone) – You have a +0.5–2.8% chance at rare items from chests and monsters.
*Azoth Attuned (Vial of Azoth Oil) – When you gain Azoth, gain 3–4.8%
The best perk here is undoubtedly, Extra Pockets, which increases how much weight your bag can carry by up to 90%. If you have a bag with all 3 of the above perks you can sell it for quite a sum of Gold at a Trading Post.

Final thoughts
Don’t have time to craft a bag? Do you want to buy one with all the desired rolls from the Trading Post? In that case, you’ll need gold. Lots of it. Bags are not cheap as they are an item that is highly sought after. But don’t fear. You can buy gold, safely and securely, right here at NewWorldGolds. The prices are also super competitive. If you want to save time and resources having to travel back and forth between your settlement, I highly recommend getting 3 bags as soon you can (Level 45) and crafting higher Tier bags. Yes, it might cost more rare resources to craft, but it will pay off in the long run. Be sure to craft/buy bags early on so that you make the most of your playthrough in New World.
